4. Data collection on this website

Cookies

This website sets only one cookie, and only if you switch the language with “DE | EN” at the top of the page. The cookie is called sprache, contains only “de” or “en” and remembers your choice for one year, so that the start page opens in your language next time. It is strictly necessary to provide the language you explicitly asked for (Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG, the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act), so no consent banner is needed. You can delete it in your browser at any time. Apart from that, this website stores nothing in your browser. The calculator on the start page works only in your browser. We only receive the information that it was used, without the values you entered (see “Audience measurement with Umami”).

Server log files

Our web server automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This information is:

We do not store the browser type, operating system or referrer URL. This data is not combined with other data sources. The log files are deleted after 7 days.

This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free and secure presentation of its website. For this purpose, the server log files must be collected.

Audience measurement with Umami

We want to know how many people visit this website, which pages they open and whether they write to us. For this we use the open source software Umami. We run it ourselves on our own server at Hostinger. No third party is involved.

With every page view, the page sends the following to our web server:

We count a submitted contact form as a view of the thank-you page. What you write in the form is not sent to Umami.

Our web server passes this information to Umami together with your IP address and your browser’s identifier. From this, Umami determines the browser, operating system, device type, country and region. Umami does not store the IP address. We do not store the city, screen size or language.

To count visits, Umami creates an identifier (hash value) from the website, your IP address, your browser’s identifier, the calendar day and a secret key. With it, Umami recognizes you only on the same calendar day. The day ends at midnight UTC, which is 1 a.m. in Germany, or 2 a.m. during daylight saving time. After that, a new identifier is created. We store nothing that could be used to link the identifiers of different days. No profile across several days is created.

For the measurement, we store nothing on your device and read nothing from it that your browser does not already transmit with every page view. If your browser sends “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”, the page sends nothing to Umami.

The data remains in Umami for 13 months and is then deleted automatically. The processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to measure the success of this website and to improve it. You can object at any time (Art. 21 GDPR). The easiest way is the “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” setting in your browser.

Contact form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, we process your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provide there (name, company, email address, and optionally phone number and message), to handle the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

This is how the inquiry is handled. Our web server forwards your details, without your IP address and without information about your browser, to our automation system n8n, which we run ourselves on our own server at Hostinger. n8n checks the inquiry for spam and sends it as an email to our mailbox hello@aiquantex.de. The web server does not store the inquiry. n8n keeps it only while processing it and then deletes it automatically, permanently after about 15 minutes at the latest. After that, the inquiry exists only as an email in our mailbox at Microsoft 365.

We do not use third-party services to protect against spam. The form contains a field that is invisible to humans and must remain empty. It also transmits the time between opening the page and submitting the form. Both are used only for this check and are not included in the email.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your inquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for taking steps prior to entering into a contract. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The data you enter in the contact form remains with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent to its storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your inquiry has been fully handled). Mandatory statutory provisions, in particular retention periods, remain unaffected.

Microsoft 365

Our email mailbox is operated by Microsoft. The provider is Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Microsoft.

Inquiries by email, phone or fax

If you contact us by email, phone or fax, your inquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, inquiry), is stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if it was requested. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

The data you send to us via contact requests remains with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent to its storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been fully handled). Mandatory statutory provisions, in particular statutory retention periods, remain unaffected.
